I’ve just added the new balance 57/40 “Prism Purple” colourway to my collection, and I should say that it’s probably the best iteration so far. It has a easy off-white coloured base and contrasting purple hits, no bold co-branding details from collaborators, it’s easy but beautiful.

Like many other new balance pairs, I find the 57/40 fits true to size. They fit similarly to the 990v5 but they’re a little narrower so if you have larger feet consider going up half a size so it doesn’t feel tight across the toes.

They’re really comfortable! updating the classic 574, the 57/40 keeps some of the retro design elements but updates it for a modern audience. This includes packing it full of technology to guarantee a comfortable fit all day long.

These shoes are very easy to style! I like to opt for something easy such as a pair of joggers and a t-shirt to match the shoes.
